Camp Size averages 30 to 50 campers at a 1:12 adult-child ratio with experienced, creative and caring counselors well versed in their arts.

Funny and adventurous stories from Doug's several decades of experience as a storyteller, drama director and classroom teacher. Listen to 'The Dougie Wuggie Story Hour' podcast for some stories told live at camp!

Hip Hop creative dance, improv games, choreography dance training to a variety of energizing music from hip hop, electronic, pop, rock and more with André. Techniques include waving, popping, gliding, and Hip Hop dance vocabulary.

Drum & Dance Circles: instruments for all including a full drum set, djembes, cowbells, tambourines, shakers and more!

Skits, puppeteering, theater games, improvisation, singing and original comedy

 

Mics provided for kids who love to sing & emcee

Arts and Crafts: art supplies provided for casual freeform drawing, painting and counselor led projects during downtime and show rehearsals

​​- Big theater space and stage

- Outdoor space with lots of nature

- Quality speakers and mics for kids to dance and sing to music.

- Drum set, lots of percussion, piano and other instruments for kids to play.

- Board games, balls, hula hoops and more for kids to play with during breaks.

- Variety Talent Show every Friday at 2pm for families and friends in the theater!

Curriculum

Campers cycle between drama, puppeteering, storytelling, dance, drums throughout the day divided into older and younger groups. They will hear different stories and learn a variety of dance moves and drum patterns best suited for each age range. All campers are together during show rehearsals, break times and end of day stories. 

Doug Cole

Doug leads students in creative drama, theater games, puppetry, improv, comedy and storytelling. Each day he will tell some of his most popular stories about his childhood, years as a classroom teacher and parent, original stories, as well as his favorite myths, legends and fairy tales from around the world. Children will also develop their own original stories, skits and puppet shows individually and in group. Visit DougsDrama.com to learn more.

Andre Cole

André leads students to explore new ways of expressing themselves through movement and music. All ages learn fundamental Hip Hop dance techniques and various  drum patterns on percussion instruments provided for all. Some of class in freestyle for them to explore and the other half is learning dance choreography routines and drum circle sequences together.

 

Students learn rhythmic and technical patterns and applying them in unique ways. Andre's energy guides students to tell stories with their movements in athletic, musical and theatrical ways. Visit AndreCole.com to learn more about his artistic endeavors and projects.

Safety

The safety of the children is our number one priority. Our camp site is secure, away from traffic and pleasant with nature areas, a library room, theater space and stage. Please keep your child close during busier drop-off and pick-up times around 9a.m. & 3p.m.

Schedule

9-10:30 Kids split up into a younger and older group each working with Doug in drama/puppets/stories or Andre with dance and drums

10:30-10:50 snack break outside 

10:50-12 camper younger and older groups switch teachers

12-1 Lunch on playground below parking area, weather permitting

1-2:40 group drumming class and show rehearsal

2:40 whole camp stories with Doug

Camp Dates

Thanksgiving 2025: November 24, 25, 26

Winter 2025-2026: December 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 Jan 1, 2

Camp Rates 

Full Session 5 days one camper $550 / two siblings $990 

Single Days 1 day one camper $110 / two siblings $198

- Extended care: individual $12/hr, two siblings $18/hr to be paid during enrollment or at the end of session if unsure of dates and times needed. Payment upfront preferred.

 

Discounts: *Siblings receive a 10% discount. Please select sibling option in enrollment form

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Full refunds minus processing fee are available up until two weeks before camp begins. A credit will be issued for a future camp date if within two weeks of enrolled start date. If camp is cancelled or has to be cut short due to COVID, refunds or credits will be issued for days missed.
